Who we are
Thermal Dock (thermaldock.com) is operated by Chikondi Nkhalamba and sells 3D-printed cooling docks for desktop GaN chargers. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit the site or place an order, and what we do with it. You can contact us at hello@thermaldock.com.
What we collect
When you order or ask us a question: your name, email address, delivery address, phone number if you give one, the charger model you own, and the contents of your order.
Payments are handled by our payment provider, Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
When you browse: standard technical data such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and how you arrived at the site, collected through cookies and similar technologies.
How we use it
To process and ship your order, send tracking and order emails, answer your questions, handle returns and refunds, prevent fraud and meet our legal and tax obligations.
To understand how the site is used and to measure and improve our advertising, as described under cookies below.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics and Google Ads tags and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel. These record events such as page views, product views, add to cart, checkout and purchases so we can measure results and show our ads to people who visited the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, use your browser's privacy settings, or opt out of personalised ads in your Google and Meta ad settings.
Who we share it with
Only the services needed to run the store: our print workshop and shipping carriers (name, address and order contents so they can make and deliver your dock), Stripe for payments, our email provider, our hosting provider (Vercel), and analytics and advertising providers (Google and Meta) for the purposes above. We do not sell your personal information.
Overseas transfers
Our workshop is in China and our service providers operate in several countries, so your information may be processed outside Australia, including in the United States and China.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal purposes (generally seven years). Other information is kept only as long as it is useful for the purposes above.
Your rights and deleting your data
You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing hello@thermaldock.com from the address you used. To delete your data, email us with the subject line Delete my data and we will action it within 30 days, except for records we must keep by law.
If you are in Australia and are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au). If you are in the EU or UK you also have the rights set out in the GDPR.
Changes
We may update this policy and will change the date at the top when we do.
